Myotonic Dystrophy Market

There are two primary forms of myotonic dystrophy (DM): type 1 (DM1) and type 2 (DM2). The condition is also called Steinert disease, after Dr. Steinert and colleagues, who first described the classic form in 1909. DM2 is sometimes referred to as Ricker syndrome, proximal DM, or PROMM. DM1 is further divided into congenital, childhood-onset, adult-onset, and late-onset subtypes.
